Hey guys, we’ve got a chance to experience the Nokia Lumia 720 at a Nokia Store nearby though there are no test devices yet that time. Fortunately, the Nokia Care representative I have spoken with (her name is Faith) allowed us to use one of their stocks for this initial hands-on review. So thank you!

Our first hand experience with the Lumia 720 was totally awesome. The design looks gorgeous and the build quality feels solid and sturdy. It is comfortable to hold and the matte finish polycarbonate back cover makes it more convenient to handle. Looking at it, you won’t really think that this phone is being priced lower than other smartphones. It runs on Windows Phone 8 powered by 1 GHz dual-core Krait Snapdragon CPU, Adreno 305 GPU, and a 512MB of RAM.

At 127.9 x 67.5 x 9 mm, the Lumia 720 is the slimmest Lumia smartphone to date. Despite of its big screen, this phone only weighs at 128g which is way lighter than the Lumia 920. It comes with 8GB internal storage and a micro SD slot up to 64GB.

The Lumia 720 comes with a 4.3 inch IPS LCD with Clearblack display which provides an excellent sunlight legibility a very good contrast. It also has an amazing viewing angle and great display with showing crisp, proper colors.

The Lumia 720 has a 6.7MP Carl Zeiss camera the widest aperture in a phone to date, with F/1.9 it offers great low light shots without the need of a Xenon flash. Aside from that, this phone has a back cover accessory that can provide the 720 a wireless charging capabilities. Here’s some of its camera shots sample.

Nokia Lumia 720 is another great device from Nokia which offers features that you can see on a flagship device but the best price that you can get. Just like the Lumia 620, this phone is a balance between features and price. Though it’s a bit pricey compared to the 620, the Lumia 720 has better things to offer like a bigger screen, wireless charging option, Carl Zeiss camera with great low light shots to name a few.

We are truly impressed at the Nokia Lumia 720 on our first meet. It’s already out in several markets and it’s really selling well. As per Nokia Store in SM City North, they got 15 units on the first day and sold 8 units in just two days – good news to Nokia!

Please stay tuned for our full device review of the Nokia Lumia 720 on the coming weeks.
